Why is it important to clean my gutters?

Your gutters play a key role in your home’s roofing system, therefore, regularly scheduled maintenance could prevent destruction of all types. Properly functioning gutters direct rainwater away from the foundation of your home and are the best line of defense against more costly repairs in the future, including gutter replacement or interior home repairs.

What could happen if i stop cleaning my gutters?

South Central Pennsylvania reaches freezing temperatures not only in the winter, but often into the fall and spring months as well. Plugged gutters can cause water to overflow from the edges, forcing water into your home. Ice dams are often heavy enough to strip the gutter right off your home, which can result in costly repairs.

The extra weight of any kind of environmental debris (water, leaves, pests, etc) can loosen you gutters and result in detachment from your roof or siding.

Destructive and annoying pests such as ants, rodents, and even snakes often love to call clogged gutters their new home.

The job of properly functioning gutters is to move water away from your home, however clogged gutters can cause just the opposite to happen allowing water to come through your roof or even seep into your basement.

Why can't I clean them myself?

Not great with heights? Don’t have the proper tools or the time? Gross Gutter Cleaning saves you the time, hassle, and threat of physical injury with our professionally trained and insured team. Regular, proper cleanings can also save you money in the long run by preventing damage to your gutter system, roof, and home interiors.

What is the gutter cleaning process?

While the process is simple, it requires specialized equipment and know-how in order to effectively clean and flush your gutter system.

With a ladder, we scale to roof level and remove the mass amount of debris by hand and with specialized equipment. We then conduct a water flush to ensure your downspouts are clear of any debris and open for proper water flow. The final step is to conduct a visual inspection to ensure your gutters are in working order, check for any loose attachments, and confirm that the water flow is clear.

Do you have a routine service list?

After scheduling your first appointment with us, you will automatically be put onto our Peace of Mind Service list. While most homes require annual or twice annual cleanings, we will create a custom return schedule list based on your gutter’s unique needs. And no worries—we always call beforehand!

Do I need to be home for my gutter cleaning or FREE estimate?

You do not need to be home for the estimate of the cleaning. However, you do need to have your outside water turned on, so we can flush out the gutter and downspout to ensure proper water flow.

How long until my work is completed?

The duration of each cleaning is dependent upon the amount of debris in your gutters and the size of your home. We will be able to provide a better time estimate after conducting your free estimate.
